Can someone translate the usual Battlefield 6 aimbot settings into normal English?

I'm seeing FOV, smoothness, bone selection, aim bind, visible check and maximum distance.

I understand that an aimbot assists with aiming, but all these extra options make it hard to compare products.

FOV is field of view. In an aiming menu, it generally controls the area considered for target selection.

So it's about the size of the targeting area?

    That's the general idea.

Smoothness describes how gradually the aim movement occurs. It's a separate concept from selecting the target.

Bone selection refers to the part of the character model the system targets. The product page lists head, neck, body and pelvis.

    What does visible check mean?

It's a visibility-related target check. It should not be confused with an anti-cheat detection status.

The current product page also lists aim bind, maximum distance, team targeting and bot targeting.

That explains a lot. I thought team targeting might be another name for visibility checking.

They're different concepts. One concerns which team is considered, and the other concerns target visibility.

This is why feature glossaries are useful. Similar-sounding settings can do completely different jobs.

Exactly. Most pages just throw the names at you without explaining them.

One separate point: EA prohibits unauthorized aimbots in Battlefield 6. Understanding what a setting does doesn't make using the software permitted.

Fair enough. The glossary answered my question.
